Appalachia Reach Out (ARO)
Inez, KY
July 31-August 6, 2023
One aspect of ARO's mission is to partner with outside individuals, families, churches, and districts to enhance our effectiveness for ministry in the heart of Appalachia. Each year we partner with many teams who feel led to come and do life with us for a week as we are the hands, feet, heart, and mission of Christ in a tangible way. Our goal is to create an experience which will impact not only what God has called us to do here in the heart of Appalachia, but will plant a seed for each person to go back to their community and embrace God's call to being the Kingdom here on Earth as it is in heaven.
Cost is $320 per person, but NapNaz will cover 20%, or $64 of this cost. So the total amount due is $264 per person.
Costs cover food, housing, project dollars, and miscellaneous items.
Those interested will need a $50 deposit by March 23, 2023, to hold your spot. You may pay online and designate your money for 2023 ARO Mission Trip. You may pay by cash or check, also please designate in the memo line or the envelope that this is for 2023 ARO Mission Trip. The remainder of the cost, $206 per person is due June 15, 2023.
The trip is for ages 13 and up. Minors without a parents present will be assigned an adult chaperone for the duration of the trip.
We will travel by individual vehicles. The trip is 5.5 hours long.

Alabaster Offering
The Alabaster Offering provides funds for property and buildings around the world. We collect our Alabaster Offering twice a year. Alabaster Boxes are available in the weeks leading up to the offering. Take a box home and fill it with loose change, dollar bills, or you can even write a check! Help us spread His Word to the ends of the earth!
Crisis Care Kits
The Nazarene Disaster Response ministry meets people's basic needs in the midst of hurricanes, earthquakes, and other disasters. One of the ways they do this is through Crisis Care Kits (CCK). CCKs are hygiene and other care products in a zip-lock bag that can be easily distributed in a disaster area. The kits have gone to places like Belize, California, Dominican Republic, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Haiti, Jamaica, Jordon, Louisiana, New York, Philippines, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, and Zambia. Your generosity makes an incredible difference! Instructions on making a kit are here. NapNaz usually collects and sends out kits once a year.
Links
The Church of the Nazarene Links program connects missionaries with churches that provide them encouragement and support. Our missionary is Mary Beth who serves in a Creative Access Area. She isn't reachable for communication, but please be in prayer for her.
Missions Books
Every year Nazarene Missions International promotes a set of books about missions. We have a set of physical books by the missions display at the church (feel free to borrow one!), but you can also get a FREE electronic PDF copy to read on your computer or mobile device. Check out the NMI Mission Books page, and not only can you find the free PDFs, but you can also find a couple of the books available as free audio books!
Missions Trips & Projects
Local Projects
Sometimes the best mission field is your our neighborhood! Past opportunities include everything from yard work at an foster/adoption ministry to painting at a women's shelter. When we have service opportunities, we will make announcements in the bulletin and post on the NapNaz Missions Facebook page, so be watching and be open to helping out when opportunities arise!
