About Us

Napoleon Church of the Nazarene was officially organized in 1968 and the first worship service was held in a local building in downtown Napoleon. At that time, there were 10 charter members. Thanks to the prayers and vision of Rev Jim Schrider and by God's grace, the church was able to purchase property on Appian Ave to build a small church. Rev Schrider and his family actually lived in part of the church during that time. Sunday School ministry was later added in 1977. As the heart and body of the church continued to grow, so did the facilities-seeing many additions and remodels over the years. God continues to work in the lives of the people at NapNaz and we continue to serve our own people and community by sharing Christ's love.
