The Dooley Family

Dave (Associate Pastor), Britni (Family Ministry Pastor) & Nora

A Message From Pastor Ben

NapNaz Family,

It is with great delight that we welcome Dave, Britni and Nora Dooley into the NapNaz Family! Their love for the Kingdom of God and His people is evident. The Dooley's come to us from Kenton Church of the Nazarene, where they have led the people there for over 15 years, fostering a place of love and belonging while faithfully preaching the Word of God.

Dave will be serving as Associate Pastor. Dave is an equipper and loves speaking life into people and leading them to a place of spiritual maturity in Christ. He will oversee our Care Ministry as well as provide pastoral care and counseling to those in need. You will see Pastor Dave regularly on Sunday mornings as he shares in the preaching and worship leading.

Britni will serve as our Family Ministry Pastor by providing a nurturing environment for NapNaz families to thrive by partnering with families to develop and equip healthy, life-long spiritual habits within the home. Her passion to provide biblical one-on-one discipleship and counseling will be a blessing to this church.

I am excited for you to see their heart through their family bio below. Please be in prayer with me as they conclude their time with the people of God in Kenton and begin the transition here to Napoleon. We will provide more ways for you to get to know Dave and Britni over the next six weeks. We look forward to June and this next season in the life of the church here at Napoleon Church of the Nazarene!

Grace & Peace,

Pastor Ben

Meet The Dooley's!

The Dooley Family has been rooted in Northwest Ohio for over 30 years. Dave attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University and has been in full-time ministry for the past 20 years serving as a Youth Pastor, Worship Pastor, and Senior Pastor. Britni is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and is currently pursuing her M.Div and Masters in Family Ministries from Olivet Nazarene University, on track for ordination. She has been serving in the Children's Ministry for the past 15 years. They have a 4 year old daughter, Nora, a white lab, Samantha, and 2 hermit crabs, “Christmas Part II” and “Joseph.”

Both Dave and Britni are passionate about growing in their relationship with Jesus and sharing life with others. Dave thrives in relational ministry with a deep desire to equip and encourage others to live into their faith. If he had a life motto it would simply be, “ to trust the Holy Spirit to make him more like Jesus today than he was yesterday.” It is this surrendered life that led him to Pastoral Ministry. God has given Dave a gift and desire to preach the Word creatively with theological integrity. He enters into spaces with people to serve, equip, and offer encouragement, counsel, and care. Dave is a gentle shepherd who simply enjoys living life with people. He also enjoys playing music, especially the electric guitar and using his gifts to worship the Lord.

Britni is passionate about ministering to families. She loves teaching kids Bible stories with sound Wesleyan-theological truths and practical ways of loving God and neighbor. Britni teaches with the motto of, “The Bible is deep enough for an elephant to bathe in, yet simple enough for a child to play in.” She believes parents and guardians are the most influential voice in discipling their kids to enter into a trusting, loving relationship with Jesus, and grow to be ambassadors of the Kingdom through God’s grace, and loves helping encourage and equip them to do so, together. She also desires to create and foster welcoming spaces for all backgrounds of families: the single parent, the grandparent, the adoptive parent, and the blended family so that all may taste and experience the goodness of God and be welcomed into His family, the church. She loves counseling and caring for kids, families, and parents to offer listening ears and prayer. Britni is passionate about making spaces of belonging for those struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. She believes the community of faith can be a beautiful bridge into Kingdom realities of tangible hope, love, and joy for those battling with mental health. God has also given Britni a desiring heart to bring peace and unity to local churches, partnering with them to minister to families and needs within the community.

The Dooley’s happy places and spaces are the Columbus Zoo, Marmon Valley Farm, bike rides, adventures at parks, pizza picnics, reading books, board games, and playing with friends. Dave enjoys making coffee, playing guitar, shooting guns, and smoking meat. Britni enjoys birding and wildlife, spending time outdoors, reading books, shopping with friends, and spending time with her family in Nashville. Nora is a sweet and spicy miracle child who loves everybody. She enjoys artistic creativity, animals and wildlife, riding her bike, swimming, parks, being with family and friends, and all things outdoors.
